At Marvin and Pinch we can provide a variety of services to suit your needs. We offer a site consultation service; offering advice on design and taking the final measurements of the space. We can act in a supply only capacity, shipping glass and components direct to your door. We also offer a full glass installation service for your shower glass, partition or balustrade project.
In order for us to price and provide a quote, we ideally need to know a few key points;
What is the Custom Glass being used for?
Do you require a made to measure shower enclosure or door, internal glass partition, glass balustrade or a custom mirror for example?
What are the total opening dimensions (tight sizes) of the space the Bespoke Glass will be installed?
We have a variety of measuring templates for shower screens and configurations; if a partition or balustrade is required, what are the overall lengths and heights required.
Where are you located for delivery or installation of your Glass Project?
This is important as we operate in the south of England and we're not a national business, so in order to not needlessly take up your time and ours it's best to know if we can assist at your location. The following link has a list of locations we do cover. Delivery Locations and Information.
Do you have a preference for the Glass Component or Hardware finishes; chrome, matte black, satin brass for example?
For shower based projects there are a large range of finishes available of the components and hardware, hinges, handles etc and the prices and availability can vary. Equally for partition and balustrade glass we can source multiple finishes for a number of scenarios.

We suggest emailing over a sketch or images/photos to help us orientate in the space, to aid us in understanding what you're hoping to achieve. We can then assist in guiding you through the practicalities and options. We will allow for the fitting tolerances based on your overall sizes, an elevation is produced for sign off once an order is placed.
Understandably there will be numerous questions. Therefore we have a selection of comprehensive guides, measuring guides and glass installation methodologies on our website, to further assist you in your decision making.
Payment;
Full payment is taken prior to glass production or components and hardware being shipped. Your glass is being made specifically for you.
Stock Length Components;
Our shower door seals, U Channel and Support Bars come in stock lengths (which differ) and need to be cut to the relevant size but yourself or whoever is carrying out the installation.
Glass Tolerances for Installation;
All installation tolerances for fixtures and fittings we are supplying would be taken prior to production and confirmed with an elevation plan for approval. This can then be used as a reference for whoever is installing the glass. Production allow for a +/- glass cutting tolerance of 4mm approx.
Glass Delivery; (Supply Only)
A date for delivery can ONLY be provided once the glass is ready and out of production, this timescale is variable. On average 10 working days from production commencing and payment being made is approx, however the type of glass and the location for delivery do extend this approx timescales.
We are NOT able to provide a definitive time of arrival prior to the date of delivery. We request that the driver will contact you on the day of delivery, approx 1 hour before arrival, or earlier. This is what we expect of our delivery partners. We will do what we can to keep you updated. Deliveries are typically made on weekdays only, however some areas of the UK can be accommodated at weekends.
Please be aware that the driver will need to meet yourself or a representative to assist in unloading of the glass. We deliver to curb side, meaning that we don't take glass upstairs, lifts etc.
The glass arrives NAKED (no packaging) this is typical in the glass industry. This enables us to keep costs down, and avoid contributing to environmental waste. Equally it enables you to check the glass thoroughly before confirming that you are happy to accept the glass in the state of arrival.
When the glass arrives it is YOUR RESPONSIBILITY to check before signing/verbally agreeing to accept THE GOODS. Once agreed to accept the glass in the condition it has arrived, we DO NOT take responsibility after that point. If there is an issue or you have a concern, YOU MUST contact us immediately AND BEFORE the DRIVER LEAVES.
On non polished edges, hinge cut outs, and drilled holes, shelling can be present, these 'shells' can be up to 8mm in depth/size from the edge of the glass or drilled hole. Hinge cut outs are not polished, PAR or polished all round, relates to the PERIMETER edge of the glass panel, where indicated on invoice.
If we are installing for you, the glass and components will arrive with a member of our team.
Component Delivery; (Supply Only)
We expedite components direct to the customer from our supplier in most cases, these typically arrive within 3 business days, providing there are no stock issues. On occasion delivery can take longer, which is why we request the components to be sent direct, to avoid delays. If the components arrive damaged, PLEASE LET US KNOW, or REJECT them with the COURIER BEFORE THEY LEAVE. The current COVID situation is extending timescales, and many products are subject to reduced levels of stock.
